Evan Robert "Bob" McKinley, 87, of Topeka, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019.
Bob was born August 12, 1932, in Topeka, Kansas, the son of Evan and Vida (Shields) McKinley.
Bob and his wife were worldwide travelers, traveling from Switzerland to Mexico. They also traveled to 48 states. He had a love for golfing and camping. He also was an excellent silversmith. Above all else, he enjoyed spending time with family and was an amazing grandpa and great-grandpa.
He was an active member at Lowman United Methodist Church, filling in numerous roles.
Bob married JoAnn Kirby on August 26, 1951 in Topeka, she survives. Other survivors include his sons; Greg (Jana) McKinley, Mike (Audrey) McKinley and Roger (Joy) McKinley; grandchildren, Heather, Wade, Julie, Nancy, Travis, Nicole, Laura, Dustin and Mitchel and 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lois Merrill
A Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 .am., Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Lowman United Methodist Church, 4101 SW 15th St., Topeka. The family will greet friends an hour prior to service time. Private interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery & Funeral Chapel, in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to Lowman United Methodist Church 4101 SW 15th St. Topeka, KS 66604.
