Blanche Mildred Taylor, 94, of Topeka, passed away Monday, October 2, 2006 at Homestead Assisted Living.
She was born December 14, 1911 in Topeka, the daughter of Samuel and Cecelia Murphy Elder.
She graduated from Highland Park High School and received a junior accountant degree from Clark's School of Business. She was the business manager for the Kansas State Historical Society until she retired. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She married Howard E. Taylor on June 18, 1938 in Topeka. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Jean Myers, Topeka, and Judy Grant, Lawrence; a son, Jerry Taylor, Shawnee; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 pm, Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
