Blanche E. Degraw

Blanche E. DeGraw, 92, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2009 at Aldersgate Village in Topeka. She was born on November 4, 1917 in St. Clere, KS, the daughter of Charles and Lena Page Blaylock. She worked for several doctors in and around Topeka. After her retirement, she enjoyed doing volunteer work at the United Methodist Home until her health began to decline. Blanche married Dewey DeGraw on June 15, 1937. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1983. Survivors include her brother, Charles H. (Norene) Blaylock of Harrisonville, MO, several nieces, nephews and their families. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Burial will follow. Blanche will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.
