Billie "Marylou" Counter

Billie "Mary Lou" Counter, 87, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015.
She was born July 29, 1928, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of William and Leona (Crites) Yarber. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1946.
Billie was employed by the Sears Roebuck & Co. for 25 years, retiring as the supervisor in the Maintenance Agreement Division.
She was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and Spyglass Summit Association. Billie loved her family and traveling.
On November 27, 1946 she married Harlan C. Counter at Assumption Catholic Church, Topeka. He preceded her in death on February 4, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her son David July 27, 2014 and two siblings, Leo Yarber and Gracie Hislip.
Survivors include her children, Gerald "Jerry" Counter; Deborah Ferrell (David) and Randall "Randy" Counter (Sally); two sisters, Pat Dial and Judy Hillebert; seven grandchildren, Ellen Canfield, Kate Counter, Ben Counter, Heather Counter, Jennifer Counter, Matthew Counter, Connelly Counter and six great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am, Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Midland Care or to a charity of the donor's choice.
