Billie Mae Webb
Age 78, Passed away September 14, 2003 at her home. She was born in St. Paul, MN the daughter of William and Thelma Zemmer. She graduated from North Kansas City High School in 1943. She went to Comptometer school upon graduation. She completed 10 hours of flight training in 1944. She met her husband, Clifton L. Webb at Midland Flour Mill where they both worked. They were married April 18, 1947. He survives.
Her interests included collecting clowns, flower gardening, KU Basketball, roller skating, embroidery and other crafts. She was active in her church and served as a volunteer for the Topeka Performing Arts Center. She will be remembered for her tremendous patience and genuine concern for others.
She is also survived by her 3 daughters: Connie and husband John Park, Ft. Scott, KS., Valerie Webb and husband Gene Holland, Kansas City, MO., Elisia and husband Michael Drake, Topeka, KS. Also, a grandson, Barry Park.
Funeral services will be held September 16, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Mid-town Chapel. Graveside services will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Kansas City, MO at 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Webb will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 16, 2003 and the family will receive friends and relatives from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday.
