Beverly J. Reiter, 75, of Perry, passed away Friday, July 14 peacefully at their home.
She was born March 7, 1931 in Marysville, the daughter of Forrest and Jane Henry.
She was a 1949 graduate of Marysville High School. She married Merlin G. Reiter on June 4, 1949 in Marysville at St. Gregory Catholic Church. After many years of traveling, they settled in Topeka in 1959. After their retirement, they moved to Perry in 1985. They enjoyed many years of camping and traveling with friends and family. Of all of the activities that she was involved in, her family and friends were the most important. She was an active member of many organizations including the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Alter Society. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years; three daughters, Niki Page of Peculiar, MO, Janette Luehring of Prairie Village, Jamie Morgan and her husband Mike of Topeka; one son, Jay W. Luehring and his wife Janet of Topeka; daughter in law Jill Reiter of Topeka; sister Mary Vincent of Ozawkie; sister in law Anellen Reiter of Topeka; grandchildren Charyti Reiter, Nathan and Brian Page, Kellan, Austin, Brendan, Megan, Sara and Teresa Corazzin, Marissa Morgan, Kathy Luehring, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by their son James F. Reiter in 1999.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm, Sunday, July 16 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Perry with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Monday, July 17, 2006 with private family inurnment to follow at a later date.
