Beverly Anncarter Stensaas

Beverly Ann Carter Stensaas, 71, Carbondale, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at Stormont-Vail Regional Health Center. She was born on September 22, 1941 in Wyandotte County, Kansas to Earl and Dorothy (Addis) Schrage.
On December 25, 1964, she married James Carter in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her death on January 7, 1986. She later married Charles Stensaas on August 30, 1993. He preceded her in death on November 11, 2003. Also preceding her in death was her brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Sharron Schrage.
She is survived by her children, Keith (Julie) Carter, Topeka; Jamie Crain-Ploger (Kevin Hassler), Mechanicsville, MD; Terry (Debbie) Carter, Lawrence and Beth(Todd) Redd of Mobile, AL; sister, Janet White, Kansas City, KS, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harvesters Community Food Network, 215 SE Quincy St, Topeka, KS 66603 or American Heart Association, 5375 SW 7th St, Topeka, KS 66606. Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
