Beulah Arndt
Beulah M. Arndt, 96, Lawrence, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.
She was born on Feb. 25, 1911 in Beaver County, OK the daughter of Fred and Jeanette (Downs) McKinsey.
Beulah is a graduate of Argentine High School, K.C., KS and attended K-State University.
She was a member of Potwin Presbyterian Church and volunteered at YWCA and Stormont-Vail Hospital for 10 years.
Beulah along with Perle Lundgren and Ruth Grantham started Country Day Nursery School in 1950 and operated it for 25 years retiring in 1975.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Condra, Lawrence and a son, John W. (Bill) Arndt, Merriam, KS; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
Graveside services will be held 11:00am, Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Potwin Presbyterian Church, 400 SW Washburn, Topeka, KS66606. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
