Betty Marie Vaught

Betty M. Vaught, 95, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence, Kansas. She was born October 21, 1922 in Alta Vista, Kansas, the daughter of Walter G. and Minnie (Andres) Vogel.

Betty graduated from Topeka High School. She was employed as a Realtor by Griffith & Blair Realtors. She was a member of Lowman United Methodist Church.

Betty married Raymond M. Vaught in 1973. He preceded her in death on August 26, 2014. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Steve Pashman and John Pashman, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Grace, John George, Rosalie and Helen.

Survivors include one son, Dave Pashman, her step-children, Ronald Vaught and Deborah Bacon, four grandchildren, John Pashman, Rick Pashman, Erica Pashman Wheat (Scott) and Breanna Pashman, four great-grandchildren, Ryley, Peyton, Spencer and Tanner and one sister, Dorothy Williams.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2017 at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Private entombment will follow in Mount Hope Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.

Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting the family.
