Betty A. Snyder, 89, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2011.
Betty was born June 7, 1921, in Topeka, daughter of John Wesley and Bertha Elizabeth (Heustis) King. She graduated from Berryton High School. Betty was a life long resident of Topeka. She worked for Parkview Drug Store, and later retired from Super D Drugs as a clerk.
Betty is survived by her niece, Delores R. King, Topeka, and nephew, Harold E. King, Glendale, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Harold and Alvin, sister, Eva, and two husbands, Thurman James and Loren Snyder.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Inurnment will be at a later date at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, KS 66617, or Grace Hospice, 3715 SW 29th, Suite 100, Topeka, KS 66614.
