Betty Lou Hase, 79, Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Midland Hospice House.
Betty was born January 30, 1931 in Topeka, the daughter of Harvey and Mildred (Moeller) Koehler. She graduated from Berryton Rural High School.
She had worked for a brief time at Tevis' Restaurant but spent the majority of her life as a homemaker and foster parent to numerous children.
She enjoyed volunteering at the Salvation Army store and playing bingo with her friends.
Betty married Arthur Albert Hase in 1949 at Carbondale. He died August 18, 2003. Survivors include daughter, Nancy (Mitchell) Sexton, Berryton; sons, Allen (Kristin) Hase, Lawrence, David Hase, Granite Shoals, TX; grandchildren, Heather Flores, Michael Godfrey, Jr., Sara Hase, Jessica Hase; and great grandchildren, Arthur, Michael, Elias, Alexia, Gabriel, Peyton, and Belén.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Betty will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
