Betty L. Barney
Age 71, passed away September 23, 2002 at a local hospital. She was born June 19, 1931 at Parsons, Kansas the daughter of William R. and Maude E. Carter Sharp.
She grew up in Parsons Kansas and married Edward E. Barney February 19, 1948 in Parsons. He preceded her in death April 7, 1994.
She was a Homemaker and ran a Daycare Center, retiring in December 2000. She was a member of the Catholic Church.

Phillip Barney Olathe, KS
Martin Barney Hillsborough, OR
Brian Barney Topeka, KS

Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 27, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at Penwell Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Barney will lie in state at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thrusday, September 26, 2002 and the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., September 26, 2002 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to : Salvation Army, PO Box 599, Topeka, KS 66601
