Betty Ann Jensen
Betty Ann Jensen, 77, of Kingman, Arizona died September 10, 2003. She was born December 26, 1925 in Clements, Kansas to Merrill and Anna E. Mills. She was raised in Topeka and graduated from Highland Park High School in 1942.
She retired from the City of Topeka after 28 years of service to enjoy a life of travel. She was a charter member of the Topeka Employee's Retirement Club.
She moved to Meriden in 1987 and to Kingman, Arizona in 2001. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10815 of Meriden where she was the district Madam President for 2 years. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 225 of Ozawkie, Women of the Moose Chapter 1091 of Topeka, and the Eagle's #3744 of Kingman, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jon Russell Kreipe of Meriden and a step grandson, Cooper Means, also of Meriden.
Survivors include a son, Duane M. Kreipe and his wife Kim of Meriden, KS,
three daughters, Bonnie L. Carroll and her husband Jim of Hoyt, KS, Robin A. Kreipe, Kingman, AZ, and Melissa J. Theel and her husband Dennis of Alma, KS; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; and 7 step great grandchildren.
Betty Jensen will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 14 at Penwell Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will recieve friends from 6-8 p.m. On-line condolences may be made at www.funeralchoice.com
Funeral service will be held at Penwell Gabel Mid Town Chapel, Monday, Sept. 15 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
