Bette Louise Bossler, 98, of Topeka, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023.
She was born December 24, 1924, in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob and Bessie (Weible) Schlotthauer. She grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas, graduated from Hutchinson High School, attended Hutchinson Junior College and graduated from Kansas State University. After graduation, Bette worked as a social worker in Shawnee County and for the State of Kansas.
Bette married Keith V. Bossler on September 2, 1951. They had one daughter, Ann Louise. Keith died June 21, 2005.
Bette was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for 68 years, serving in many ways over the years including as a deacon and elder. She was a member of Delta Delta Delta and the Topeka Tri Delta Alumnae, Chapter DV PEO and Western Sorosis.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann (David) Carnahan; granddaughter, Amy (Marcos) Lerma; grandson, Paul (Alexandra) Carnahan and three great granddaughters, Sophia, Olivia and Lucia Lerma.
Bette was a much loved wife, mother, Nana, Nana the Great and friend. She was always interested in others and she listened well.
Private family services will take place at a later date with inurnment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
