Bertha E. Wendt, 91, Topeka, passed away on Friday, May 12, 2006 at a local hospital.
Bertha was born December 14, 1914 in Ottawa, the daughter of Fred W. and Eva Michael Wendt.
She was a member of the Quivira Heights Church of Christ where she was a Bible School teacher for over 36 years. She was a child care provider for many families in Topeka.
Survivors include two sisters; Evelyn Joy, Alameda, CA, and Laverne Tomlinson, Rogers, AR; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Miss Wendt will lie in state at the funeral home after 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
