Benjamin "Joe" Colboch, 80, of Topeka, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born on August 2, 1929 in St. Joseph, MO, the son of Herb and Addie Presley Colboch. He graduated from Washburn Rural High School and attended Washburn University.
Joe was employed in the automobile industry for 57 years in Topeka, working for Vic Yarrington, Dale Sharp and Lewis Toyota. He also owned and operated Ike's Motor Service and Joe Colboch Used Cars and most recently was employed for the past 17 years by Laird Noller Lincoln Mercury.
Joe married Darlene Cox on June 1, 1952 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sons; Kent (Donetta) Colboch of Topeka, Craig (Torri) Colboch of Topeka, four grandchildren; Kyle (Krystal), Connor, Carissa and Cooper, three great-grandchildren; Kylie, Tyler and Collin and one brother; Harold Colboch of St. Joseph, MO.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God Church. Private inurnment will take place in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Care Hospice Services, 200 S.W. Frazier Circle, Topeka, Kansas 66606 or to the organization of the donor's choice.
