Ben F. Courtright
Ben F. Courtright, 88, of Topeka, passed away on June 19, 2006 of natural causes. Mr. Courtright was born August 7, 1917 in Hastings, Nebraska.
Mr. Courtright was married to Mary Elizabeth Courtright for 59 years who passed away in 2000. Also deceased, is a daughter, Joan Elizabeth Berger who passed away in 2005.
During World War II with the Army Air Force, Mr. Courtright earned the Bronze Star and Silver Star for air combat engagement in the North African and the European theaters.
For 38 years Mr. Courtright was with the State of Kansas Employment Security Division, serving in the latter years as the Director of Job Service.
Mr. Courtright is survived by his two sons, James B. Courtright and Wayne R. Courtright, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service will be held for Mr. Courtright. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
