Becky S. Lay Johnson

Becky S. Lay Johnson, 51, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2009 at a Topeka hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born on March 3, 1958 in Bunswick, GA, the daughter of James C. and Barbara A. Bennett Lay, Sr. She had been employed at Stormont-Vail Hospital for seven years and a EMTI in Jackson County. She is survived by her parents, Jim and Barbara Lay, one daughter, Breanna Johnson, one son, Michiel Noyes and one sister, Pam Lay all of Topeka, two brothers, Jim Lay, Jr. of Topeka, John G. Lay of Tampa, FL, four nieces and three nephews. Becky was preceded in death by one sister, Robben A. Lay Shaw in 2005. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Becky will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
