Barbara Jean Will, 96, of Topeka, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022.
She was born May 3, 1925, in Denton, Kansas, the daughter of Joe and Marie (Jenkins) Honer. Barbara graduated from Denton Rural High School in 1943.
After retiring from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co with 34 years of service in 1979, she volunteered at the VA Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, American Red Cross and the Telephone Pioneers.
Barbara was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, of Topeka.
Barbara married Leroy Will on December 8, 1951. He preceded her in death on October 14, 1996. Survivors include her two sons, Kirk (Shelley) Will and David (Alice) Will; granddaughter, Candis (Doral) Mayfield; three great grandchildren, Shelby, Braden and Xavier; and one sister, Rosie Helmstter. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jack Honer, Joe Honer and Betty Delziet.
A Funeral Ceremony will be 11:00 am, Friday, February 4, 2022 at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore, Topeka. The family will receive friends from 9:30am-11:00am prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, 4717 SW 17th Street, Topeka, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
