Barbara Gail Noe, 76, of Topeka, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013.
Barbara was born January 13, 1937, in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Donald and Barbara (Pollock) Denton. She graduated from Topeka High School in 1955. Barbara later earned a BA in Education from Kansas State University in 1959. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Barbara was united in marriage to Dan Noe on January 24, 1959, in Topeka.
She worked as a teacher for Topeka 501 school district, and an office manager for Square D Company, Phoenix, AZ.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, step father, Joe Burge, a sister, Neola Jean Denton, a brother, John Denton, a daughter, Mary Jean Noe, and a granddaughter, Cassandra Noe.
She is survived by a son, John Noe, Peoria, AZ; a sister, Jane Warren, Greeley, CO; three granddaughters, Stephanie Dicken, Topeka; Nicole (Michael) Lawler, Killeen, TX; and Callie Noe, Peoria, AZ; and a great grandson, Thomas Michael Dicken-Munoz.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Overbrook Cemetery, Overbrook. Barbara will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, Topeka, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 706 Haddonfield Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002.
