Barbara Compton
Barbara H. Compton, 57, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at a local hospital.
She was born February 24, 1947 in Hays, the daughter of Edgar E. and Kathrine B. Amidon Perry. Her family moved to Topeka in 1951. She graduated from Topeka West High School 1965. She was employed by AMERUS for 21 years.
Barbara married William H. Compton, Jr. on July 2, 1983 in Overbrook, KS. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Amy Howell, and son-in-law, John, Lansing, and grandson, Gabriel. One brother: Butch Perry, Carbondale.
She was a volunteer at KTWU and the C.A.T. Association,and had been active in A.B. W.A.
Memorial services will be held at the Mount Hope Mausoluem Chapel on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cat Association of Topeka, 1719 SW Gage, Topeka, 66604 or KTWU Television, 1900 SW College, Topeka, KS 66620 or the Rotary Foundation, Topeka West Rotary Club, 534 S. Kansas, Suite 1000, Topeka, KS 66603.
