Barbara Ann Baker, 47, of Topeka, passed away, Wednesday, December 17, 2003 at her home.
She was born April 5, 1956 at Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Maurice R. and Mary Lee (Slatten) Baker.
Barbara had been employeed by TARC Industries, the Fairfield Inn, and Sunflower Support.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Maurice, and by her dear friend George Glidewell.
Survivors include:
her mother, Mary Lee Baker, Topeka, KS
three brothers, Maurice W. Baker, Alma, KS
Richard A. (Rick) Baker, Topeka, KS
Robert J. (Robb) Baker, Topeka, KS
and one sister, Nancy J. Stuenkel, Vestavia Hills, AL
She was Aunt Barbara to Crystal Baker-Mayer, Ben Baker, Matt Stuenkel, Evelyn Stuenkel, Ben Stuenkel, Edward Baker, Aaron Mayer, Katie Mayer, and Tristan Baker.
She was also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will greet friends at 10:00 a.m. and funeral services will follow at 11:00am Friday, December 19, 2003 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel.Private burial will follow. Barbara will lie in state after 12:00 noon Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to White Memorial Camp, c/o First Congregational Church, 400 W. Main, Council Grove, Kansas 66846. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.penwellgabel.com.
