Austin "Gus" G. Sexton, of Topeka, KS, son of Austin G. and Helen Shannon Rigney, Sr., adopted son of Thomas G. Sexton, born Sept. 10, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois, died Dec. 15, 2008.

Husband of Margaret nee Schneider. Father of Adam (Janel), Boulder, CO and Ellen (Steven Wingenter), Huntsville, AL. Brother of Mary Helen McCarthy (Lawrence) IL, Patricia Hagen (Donald) MO, Therese Ann Carrick (William) IL, Maureen Esser (deceased), John (Yvette) NY, and Vincent, WI. Grandfather of Connor and Derek, many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sexton will lie in state after 2:00 pm, on Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Father Brian Schieber will recite the Rosary at 6:30 pm at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 18th, 10:00 am, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Ignatius High School Scholarship Fund, 1076 W. Roosevelt Rd. Chicago, IL 60608.
