Audrey L. Singleton

Audrey L. (Collinge) Singleton, 94, of Topeka, left this life on Monday, December 25, 2017 at Brewster Place Retirement Community where she had been a resident.

She was born December 14, 1923 in Emporia, Kansas, to Floyd and Edith Collinge, one of five children.

Audrey graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1941 and later attended Clark's Business School and served as secretary at Ottawa High School and the Topeka Chamber of Commerce. Audrey was employed as a Consultant, Group Director and District Director for the Nutri Metics International Company for over 30 years before retiring. She was a member of the Community Church.

Audrey married Gilbert Singleton on February 5, 1947 in Ottawa, Kansas. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Cheryl A. Sandberg, Donna L. Ramskill and Bonnie L. Fritts, seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two sisters, Gladys Lemley and Juanita Fleener.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Kenneth and Clifford, one grandchild and four great grandchildren.

Audrey will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 29 at Penwell Gabel Mid Town Chapel. A visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30 at Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel, 4700 S.W., 17th St, with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Community Church, 1819 SW. 21 St., Topeka, KS 66608 or Great Lakes Caring, 3715 SW. 29th St., Topeka, KS 66614.
