Audrey Frentzel

Audrey M. Frentzel, 82, Topeka, passed away April 12, 2007 at Lexington Park Nursing Facility. She was born on July 31, 1924 in Belgique, MO to Theophile J. and Bernice (Mattingly) Bert.

Audrey graduated from Perryville High School in Perryville, MO. She retired as a secretary from Southwestern Bell Telephone in 1990. Audrey was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.

Audrey married Alvin E. Frentzel on August 31, 1947. They were married for 59 years. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, John Frentzel, Hamburg, Germany and James (Stephanie) Frentzel, Lafayette, CO; one brother, John T. (Alice) Bert of Perryville, MO. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry Bert, Greeley, CO; Raymond Bert, Phoenix, AZ and Ronald Bert, of Perryville, MO.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Audrey will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
