Audra F. Bartels
Audra F. Bartels, 74, Topeka, passed away, Monday, September 5, 2005 at St. Francis Health Center. She was born March 2, 1931 in Paola, KS, the daughter of George and Katherine Sherman Gillogly.
Audra graduated from Paola High School in 1949. She was a homemaker. In her later years she volunteered for the Stephen Ministries, and Sight Savers. Audra was an avid quilter, bunko player and a Catbacker.
She married Hubert "Bart" Bartels on August 20, 1950 in Block, KS. He died May 12, 1997.
Survivors include two sons, David Bartels and Daniel Bartels both of Topeka; two daughters, Cynthia Goering, Olathe; and Carol Hergott, Washington; 9 grandchildren 4 step-grandchildren and one step great-grandson.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2005 at St. John's Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Bartels will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, September 8, 2005.
Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Lutheran School Foundation 701 SW Roosevelt Topeka, Kansas 66606.
