She was born June 2, 1942, in Eskridge, Kansas, the daughter of Wyatt Marcelis and Cozie Cornelius (Smith) Bailey.
Survivors include her siblings, Lett Bailey, Lawrence Bailey, Joe Bailey and Norma Jean Bailey and numerous nieces and nephews.
