Arthur A. Schwarz, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at a local hospital.
He was born September 25, 1915 in Home, the son of Gus C. and Edith Marie Schrieber Schwarz.
Arthur was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 20th Air Force. He spent 2 years in Guam.
Arthur worked for Armour's Creamery and the Kansas Power & Light in Marysville and later worked for the Department of Administration, State of Kansas for 15 years, retiring in 1979.
He married Edna B. Wilson on October 14, 1940 in Marysville. She survives. Other survivors include cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 27, 2005 at First Congregational Church, 1701 SW Collins. Arthur will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 P.M. on Friday and visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the Marysville Cemetery, Marysville.
