Arthur Lee Harvey, Jr.

Arthur Lee Harvey Jr., 85, of Topeka, passed away on Sat., Dec. 25, 2010 at Eventide Convalescent Center. He was born on Jul 11, 1925 in Rosedale, Kansas to Arthur Lee, Sr. and Louise (Green) Harvey.

Arthur was a U.S. veteran serving in both WWII and the Korean War. He was a buffalo soldier and retired from the military with rank of Sergeant. He retired from Stormont-Vail in 1979. He married Nancy M. Potts on July 14, 1962 in Nebraska.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. Harvey; his children Tyrone Harvey, Arnold Harvey, William Harvey, George Harvey, Ethan Harvey, Sean Harvey, Janelle Harvey, Colette Harvey, Laura Harvey, Felecia Harvey, Willis Bourquin, Harold Bourquin, Wilda Edwards and Sherri Stone; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and great great great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Thurs., Dec. 30 at Good Shepherd Church, 2054 SE California Ave, Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Rd, Topeka, KS 66604. Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel is assisting with arrangements.
