Armetta Stadler

Armetta Claudine Stadler, 84, Carbondale, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at Brookside Retirement Center in Overbrook.

She was born January 25, 1921 in Wichita, the daughter of Claude W. and Erna M. Scroggy Burch. Armetta graduated from Wichita East High School. She attended a business college in Wichita.

She was employed by the State of Kansas, Motor Vehicle and Revenue Department, retiring in 1983.

Armetta and her husband belonged to a Jim Beam and McCormick bottle and decantor collector club.

She married Joseph D. "J.D." Stadler, July 20, 1947 in Wichita, Kansas. He died September 26, 2001.

Survivors include: two sons, Henry Lee Stadler, Yates Center; Claude Joe Stadler and wife Karen L, Carbondale; one daughter, Claudine Anna DonCarlos, Carbondale; and five grandchildren, Jeremy Joe Stadler, Alexis A. Combs, Lindsey L. Stadler, Amy E. Stadler and Robert L. Stadler, and 1 great grandson, Mason Allen Combs.

A funeral service will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, July 1, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Interment will be in Carbondale Cemetery.

Mrs. Stadler will lie in state after noon on Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 P.M.
