Arlin Eugene Mannschreck, 65, of the Lecompton area, passed away Friday, December 17, 2004 at a Topeka hospital due to complications from Leukemia.
He was born January 31, 1939 in Topeka, the son of Glen E. and Jessie M. Mannschreck.
Arlin graduated from Topeka High School in 1959. He was employed by the Kansas Power and Light Company as a lineman for many years and retired as an Electric Distribution Supervisor in the Topeka division. He was a member of Highland Heights Christian Church. Arlin was an avid golfer and enjoyed the game with his wife and friends at Lake Shawnee Golf Course. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
He married Sharon White on September 18, 1960 in Topeka. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Michael Mannschreck of Topeka; two daughters, Linda Boleski and her husband Mark of Lecompton; Lori Black and her husband David of Ft. Worth, TX.; a brother, Dean Mannschreck and his wife Kay of Foley, AL, and grandchildren, Kristen and Megan Boleski ; Jason and Taylor Black.
Mr. Mannschreck will lie in state after 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 20 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends and relatives from 7-8:00 p.m. that evening.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 21 at Highland Heights Christian Church, 2930 SE, Tecumseh Rd. with burial to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
