Arlene Mae Whiteley, 81, passed away Thursday October 10, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Arlene was born in Scranton, Kansas on May 29, 1932. Arlene and her husband Harlan operated Whiteley's Lumber and Pallet manufacturing for 35 year in Topeka. After retirement Arlene enjoyed working in her yard, volunteering, fishing, and spending time with her family and many friends.
Arlene married J. Harlan Whiteley October 8, 1950 at Burlington, KS. Harlan preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by her daughter and husband, Dan & Tammy Fairchild, of Broken Arrow, OK; Grandson and Wife, Adam and Katie Merillat, of Tulsa, OK; Step-Grandchildren Kim and Sean Lankie, Atlanta, GA; Jeremy and Kim Fairchild, Broken Arrow, OK and Great Grandchild Blake Merillat, Kylan & Taryn Fairchild, Sam, Sarah & Jacob Lankie. Brother and wife Kenneth & Phyllis Glenn, Waverly, KS; Sister in-law Carolyn Stickney & husband, Bob, of Hearn, TX and Carlan Young of Burlington, KS.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 13, 2013, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Penwell-Gabel, Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Street; Topeka, KS 66604.
Services will be held at Penwell-Gabel, Mid-Town Chapel, at 10:00 AM, Monday October 14, 2013.
Burial will be at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery immediately following services.
