Arlene M. Ellison, 93, Topeka, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2015 at a local care center.
Arlene was born November 30, 1921 in Topeka, the daughter of Glenn and Cecil (Kelly) Reece. She graduated from Topeka High School.
She was the bookkeeper at Ellison Automotive Repair, her husband and son's business, for 30 years, retiring in 1988.
She was a member of several Topeka Bowling leagues and traveled extensively for tournaments.
Arlene married Loyd A. Ellison on June 9, 1943 in Holton. He died August 17, 2003. Survivors include sons, Larry Ellison, James (Nancy) Ellison, all of Topeka; granddaughter, Christine Ellison, Manchester, NH; and brother, Victor Reece, Overbrook, KS.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society.
