Arline Fern Wright
Arline Fern Wright, 84, formely of Topeka, Kansas, passed away in San Marcos, TX, on Saturday, December 7, 2002, She was born August 19, 1918, in Adrian, Missouri to Christian and Edith E. (Addleman) Kornhaus.
Mrs. Wright and her husband, Walter W. Wright were married June 3, 1937 in Adrian, MO. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1995. A daughter, Patsy Kells died in 1983. Mrs. Wright and her husband, lived in Adrian, MO until 1942 when they moved to Kansas City, Kansas. Mr. Wright's job with Nabisco Brands took them to Salina, KS in 1955 and to Topeka, KS in 1973. Mrs. Wright enjoyed gardening and had a special fondness for her roses. She was a member and held the highest office of Easter Star Worthy Matron for Chapter #2 in Salina, KS and was a life-long member of the Christian Church, most recently the First Christian Church of San Marcos.
She is survived by two daughters, Kay Kotowski and husband, Raymond of San Marcos, Texas find Rita Johnson and husband, Paul of Heathsville, Virginia; three grandchildren, Carrie Ann Johnson, Eric Allen Johnson and David Paul Johnson, and four greatgrandchildren, Christopher, Sarah, Katherine, and William Johnson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Isis Shrine, (Crippled Children's Fund), Salina, KS 67401 or the First Christian Church 3 105 Ranch Road 12, San Marcos, TX 78666. Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 11, 2002, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka, K.S.
