Arlene A. Keltner, 71, of Topeka, passed awy, Tuesday, October 7, 2003 at a Topeka hospital.
She was born October 23, 1931 in Topeka, the daughter of Raymond and Fannie (Spiker) Schuler. Mrs. Keltner was a graduate of Washburn University with a Masters Degree in Education.
Mrs. Kelther was a teacher and had served as principal with USD 501, Topeka.
She served as director of Speical Education and Ciriculum and as a principal with USD 437, .

She served as director of Special Education and Curriculum as a principal with Washburn Rural USD 437. She currently was an adjunct professor at Washburn University in the Education Department.
Arlene was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church.
She married Elvin D. Keltner December 31, 1950 at Garden Grove, California. He survives. Other survivors include:
One daughter, Terri Donahue Lawrence, KS
One son, Gary Keltner Greenfield, Ohio
One brother, Dale Schuler Olathe, KS
and four grandchildren, Cory and Taylor White, and Stephen and Kala Keltner.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 10, 2003 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. She will lie in state after 12:00 noon Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 2021 SW 29th Street, Topeka, KS 66611.
