Ardith D. Granger of Topeka, Kansas died June 3, 2022 at the age of 96. She was born June 10, 1925 at Fullerton, NE, the daughter of Clyde and Blanche Cunningham Russell. She attended Fullerton schools and the Lincoln School of Commerce in Lincoln, NE. She was employed by the Army Air Force Supply Depots in Lincoln and Omaha, NE and Topeka, KS. She was a homemaker until she went to work at the Euclid/University United Methodist Church and the First United Methodist Church as business secretary.
She married Warren E. Granger in Topeka, KS on November 2, 1946. Surviving are two children, Nancy Appelhanz (Ted) and Tom Granger; three grandchildren, Kimberly Bachelor (Alex), Tonya Flores (Pepe), Matthew Appelhanz (Darcy); seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sisters, Madeline Bedke and Lenore Peregrine and a brother, Kenneth Russell.
She was a member of the University United Methodist Church, the Topeka Genealogical Society, Topeka Chapter NSDAR, past member of the Tecumseh Garden Club and a Girl Scout leader for 16 years. She was a graduate of the Menninger Bible Study.
Services will be held at 10am on June 16th, at University United Methodist Church with private inurnment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the memorial service.
