Annie Ruth Boger, 78, Topeka, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2009 at Stormont- Vail Hospital.
Annie was born July 20, 1930 in Fairfield, IL, the daughter of Harlan and Cecil (Darr) Savage. She grew up in Mt. Vernon, IL and moved to Topeka in 1966.
She retired in 1992 from the State of Kansas, Department of Motor Vehicles, where she worked as a Titles and Registration Clerk. She later worked at J.C. Penney's.
She was a member of Delta Theta Chi Sorority and Penney's retirement club.
Survivors include children, Sherry (Chuck) Scofield, Diane Needham, David (Sherry) Boger, all of Topeka, Mike (Charlotte) Boger, Manhattan; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Larry (Judy) Boger, Springfield, IL; and long time companion, Lyle Ogden. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Marion and John Savage; son, John Boger; and great grandson, Branden Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Annie will lie in state at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
