Anne Laurie McDonald, 52, of Topeka, passed away Friday, February 19, 2010.
She was born April 24, 1957 in Topeka, the daughter of Glenn and Sandra (Dexter) McDonald. She was a graduate of Topeka High School. She was employed by St. Francis Hospital over 31 years.
Survivors include her husband, Anthony Smith, Sr.; her children, Tiaudra C. Smith and Antonio Smith; grandson, Todd Franklin, Jr.; of Topeka; her parents; all of Topeka; her brothers, Kelly Glenn McDonald and Michael Morrell McDonald both of Kansas City, KS. She was preceded in death by her brother, David P. McDonald and a granddaughter, Brielle Franklin.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave, Topeka. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Topeka. Ms. McDonald will lie in state after 3 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospital, 1700 SW 7th St., Topeka, KS 66606-1690.
