Ann Dierksen, 75, of Topeka, passed away, Monday, July 25, 2005.

She was born March 5, 1930 in Chambers, NE the daughter of Louis and Theresa Taggart.

She had worked as a nursing assistant at both Topeka State Hospital and the VA Hospital. She retired after 23 years of service.

Ann was a member of Countryside United Methodist Church.

She married Charles B. Phillips in 1954. They later divorced. She married Brad Dierksen in 1978. He survives. Other survivors include, a daughter, Theresa Scott and her husband Greg, Topeka; a son, Michael Phillips and his wife Shirley, Topeka, a son, Dennis Phillips, Topeka;.a son, Daniel Phillips, Lake Wabaunsee, KS; a daughter, Kelly Badke and her Husband John, Wichita, KS; three brothers, Samuel, Lonnie and Thomas Taggart; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Cremation is planned. A Memorial Service will be held 10:00am Friday, July 29, 2005 at Countryside United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 1653, Topeka, KS 66601, Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, KS 66617 or the Battered Women's Task Force, C/O YWCA, 225 SW 12th, Topeka, KS 66612.
