Ann Denise Gnagy, 39, Topeka, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 after a courageous battle with colon cancer.
Ann was born April 4, 1969 in Garden City, the daughter of Harold and Maylene (Chance) Williams. She graduated from Lakin High School and continued her education at Seward County Community College and McPherson College, receiving a Bachelors degree in accounting.
She was a member of Topeka Bible Church.
She had worked for Westar Energy as an accountant.
Ann married Jeff Gnagy on November 3, 1991 in Lakin. He survives. Other survivors include sons, Bryan, Evan and Jacob of the home; parents Harold and Maylene Williams, Lakin; brothers, Victor (Rebecca) Williams, Topeka, Chance (Shauna) Williams, Clay Center; and sister, Valerie (Keith) Welty, Parkville, MO.
A celebration of Ann's life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Topeka Bible Church. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Ann will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel after 2:00 pm on Friday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
