Andrew Toliver "Andy" Walker, 59, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016, at his home in Topeka, KS.
Andrew was born May 29, 1956, in England, to Toliver Andrew Walker and Mary Ann Chandler. He previously worked for Essex Wire, Topeka Railway Equipment, Vanguard, and Filter Pro. Andrew currently worked for Crosswind Pet Foods. He was a pilot and loved flying as well as building airplanes. Andrew was involved with the Experimental Aircraft Association for several years and built many Mitchell Wing aircraft. Andrew loved animals and his current passion had been volunteering for Saving Death Row Dogs to help find loving homes for good dogs. He loved riding his motorcycle, traveling, and playing the blues on his guitar.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Walker; two children, Amanda Egypt Rose Walker and Troy Andrew Walker; mother, Mary (Bud) Chandler; siblings, Robert Walker, Tracy (Mike) Fox, Mary Ann Chandler, and Michael Chandler; eight nieces and nephews; and three furry children, Duchess, LadyBug, and Laurel, his faithful companions.
Andrew is preceded in death by his father.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016, at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Ave., Topeka. Burial will follow at Half Day Cemetery, Elmont, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
