Andrew Pratt

Andrew A. Pratt, 94, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at a Westmoreland care center.

Andy was born May 22, 1914 in Topeka, the son of George and Ida (Stice) Pratt.

He was employed as a welder for the Santa Fe Railroad for over 30 years, retiring in 1974

He was a Charter member of the North Topeka Saddle Club, and participated in and was a respected and well known announcer for rodeos and horse shows.

Andy married Zelma Douglas on July 26, 1935. She died October 19, 2003. Survivors include daughter, Joan Ferrebee, De Ridder, LA; two granddaughters; two great granddaughters; and one great great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one brother, and three sisters.

Private family inurnment services will take place at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery.
