Andrea R. (Petropoulos) Evans, 81, of Olathe, passed away Monday, August 15, 2022.
She was born October 28, 1940, in San Francisco, California, the daughter of Andrew and Frances (Barbaria) Petropoulos.
Andrea married Chester "Chet" Evans on April 28, 1962 in San Francisco, he preceded her in death on October 1, 2011. Survivors include her children, Randy (Tanya) Evans, Lisa (Gary) Price, Scott (Jennifer) Evans, and Brad (Kim) Evans; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chet Evans and siblings, Louis Petropoulos, Louise Gallagher and Angela Petropoulos.
Andrea was an artist. She enjoyed creating floral pieces. If she wasn't painting, you could find her outside in her flower beds or playing with her furry dog friends.
She had a strong Christian faith. She sang and served many years in the Women's Ministry at Southwest Topeka Bible Church and alongside her husband as a Pastor's wife. Together, she and Chet also enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing.
At the nursing home they all said that Andrea was sassy and she liked to earn her Bingo bucks.
A Funeral Ceremony will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Penwell-Gabel - Mid-Town Chapel, 1321 SW 10th Avenue, Topeka. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Topeka. The family will greet friends and hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Evergreen Hospice 11875 S. Sunset Drive Olathe, KS 66061.
