Amanda Lucille Saylor, 89, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at a Topeka care facility. She was born on December 5, 1915 near Eskridge the daughter of Albert Joseph and Florence Ona Hall Rush. She graduated from Eskridge High School in 1934. She spent most of her life in Topeka. She was employed by Farmland Industries for a number of years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was involved with the church bell choir, the LWML and the Topeka Rescue Mission auxiliary. She married Wilford Roy Saylor in 1957. They were divorced. Survivors include one son, Mark Saylor of Topeka, two grandsons, Alan and Logan, one sister, Mary Jenkins of Wamego, two brothers, Tom and Art Rush of Eskridge. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in West Lawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Saylor will lie in state after 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel. Memorial contributions may be given to Topeka Lutheran School, 701 S.W. Roosevelt, Topeka, Ks. 66606.
