Alvin Schiesser
Alvin Dean Schiesser, 88, of Topeka, passed away Monday, October 6, 2008, at the Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center.
Alvin was born on Dec. 14, 1919, at Keene, KS, the son of Samuel and Mae Blankenship Schiesser.
Mr. Schiesser was a Veteran of WWII, serving in Germany. He retired from the Maintenance Dept. at Washburn University.
Survivors include one sister, Frances McKown of Lawrence, KS; a brother, Marvin Schiesser of Boulder CO; sister-in-law, Mary Schiesser of Eskridge, KS and numerous nieces and nephews.
Alvin was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 9 brothers.
Cremation is planned. Private inurnment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery at a later date.
Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
