Alvin Dale Rimmel, 69, of Tecumseh, died Saturday, February 21, 2004 at his residence. Al bid farewell to his family and friends as he went to be with the Lord. A long time Topeka businessman, Al co-owned State Office Systems. He lived his life honoring Christ, in selfless service to others; making all around him feel welcome and wanted. Those who had the privilege of knowing Al knew of his enthusiasm for life and his giving attitude. His family was the pride of his life. Surviving are his loving wife, Nancy: his daughters, Kathy, Ginger and Pam; brother, Charles; sister, Shirley; and fifteen grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Topeka Bible Church where Al was a long time member and church leader. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. He will lie in state after Noon Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Topeka Bible Church for renovation, 1101 S.W.
