Alma M. Katz

Alma M. Katz, 83, of Topeka, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at a Topeka hospital. She was born on October 12, 1923 in Boston, MA. She was Phi Beta Kappa at Boston University and received her MSW in 1945. She married Dr. Jerome B. Katz on January 3, 1946. They moved to Topeka in 1947. She was employed as a psychotherapist at Topeka State Hosptial and the Menninger Foundation. Survivors include their children, Stephen E. and Jan P. Katz of Mount Vernon, IL, Darrell M. Katz and wife, Paula Tatarunis of Waltham, MA, Daniel A. Katz and wife, Margot Brown of Topeka, and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome B. Katz , M.D. on February 28, 2003. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. today at Mount Hope Cemetery. Burial will follow.
