Allen Mccaul

Allen P. McCaul, 91, of Topeka, passed away Monday, July 25 at a local care facility.

He was born July 30, 1913 in Kansas City, MO., the son of Hugh J. and Ella Alexander McCaul.

After graduating from Baker University, Allen finished seminary training at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary at Evanston, Illinois. He served churches in Illinois and Wisconsin. After retiring, he continued ministry as an assistant pastor at Otterbein United Methodist Church in Topeka.

He married Pearl J. Jones on September 5, 1936 in Kansas City, MO. She preceded him in death in 1995. He married Florence B. Cogdal in 1996. She survives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary McCaul on September 25, 1952, two brothers and two sisters.

Other survivors include a son, Mark L. McCaul of Atlanta, GA., six grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a stepson, Sidney E. "Gene" Vann of Topeka; a step daughter, Mary E. Logan of Burlington, KS; three step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 6 at Otterbein United Methodist Church. Private inurnment will be in Mount Hope Columbarium.
