Alice Hartman
Alice E. Hartman 86, Topeka, passed away, Wednesday Oct. 6, 2003 at Lexington Park. She was born Jan. 11, 1918 near Effingham, KS the daughter of Edwin and Kathleen Whitson Flory.
She graduated from Topeka High School. She worked at Munns Medical Supply for 13 years and Pelliters for 27 years she retired in 1983. Alice was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church since 1945, Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority since 1959, former member of the Topeka Chapter of American Business Women's Association for over 25 years.
She married Charles F. Hartman in March 17, 1945 in Topeka, KS he died Sept. 3, 1990.
She is preceded in death by five brothers.
She is survived by a brother Clarence Flory of Valley Falls, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 9, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
Mrs. Hartman will lie in state after 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm Friday, Oct. 8, 2004 at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Chapel.
