Alice M. Birch, 86, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at a local care center.
Alice was born July 5, 1935 in Beaver, KS the daughter of Phillip Pius Gerstenkorn and Louise Hatti (Schremmer) Gerstenkorn.
She graduated from Great Bend High School and attended Washburn University. She was employed by Association Services Corporation.
She was previously a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church and later, Christ the King Catholic Church in Topeka.
Alice married William J. "Bill" Birch on December 27, 1955 in Great Bend, KS. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2015. She was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher D. Birch.
Survivors include a son, Michael J. Birch, Lawrence; daughter-in-law, Amy Birch, Topeka; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Everett Birch, and a sister, Patsy Lang.
Inurnment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery.
